Allied Steel Construction, Inc. was founded in Anchorage, Alaska, by Delbert Cederberg in 1974. His son, Arthur, joined the company in 1984, starting his career as a teenager and eventually taking on the role of President. Delbert served as CEO and remained deeply involved in the business until his passing in 2021. Arthur now leads the company, overseeing its day-to-day operations, continuing the legacy of hard work and dedication that Delbert instilled in the business.
Throughout its history, Allied Steel has fabricated numerous sculptures throughout Anchorage and the state, contributing to the community’s art scene. The company has also played a key role in building many of the animal enclosures at the Alaska Zoo, including the polar bear exhibit, snow leopard exhibit, Siberian tiger cages, and brown bear cages. Additionally, Allied Steel has contributed to important projects like fabricating anti-terrorist entrance gates for Elmendorf Air Force Base.
